Crime and Punishment To start off with this post I put one across to say that this is a difficult post to comment on because crimes being committed have been a part of cab atomic number 18t since the dawn of human race and I believe that this pass on be an ongoing issue until the end of time. With that being said, I do believe that there is a need for a unused-fashioned simulacrum for sentencing. To me, the traditional model of imprisonment as a way if punishing a criminal was to shew and help the criminal become a better somebody and to rehabilitate that person, however, due to the system and the way it is, this has proven to be a failure. A criminal whom has not been egestn a viable alternative to the crime that he or she has committed, could at last revert back to that crime once they are released from prison. I do propose there be a new sentencing paradigm set in place which would ultimately be set to place offenders in a job readiness training program or at least give the offender an education that would allow options of contributing positively to community versus going out and taking the easy track of committing crimes to form by in life. This would set in place a way to reduce criminal reoccurrences from offenders and possibly allow them to down that there is a better way of living other than committing crimes.

This new sentencing paradigm would provide a positive skin perceptiveness to the offender and would allow the offender to be educated on a better way of living. My drawback to setting this new sentencing paradigm in place is that we all are raised in this society by our parents in different ways. We all are sent to school to be educated and try and get something of ourselves and it is after we get this education that we must decide for ourselves which road we want to take. Therefore, is it truly right to implement a new sentencing paradigm to make life better for an offender who chose a road that could have been avoided?
