After Romeo and Juliet own kissed, he talks to her nurse and learns Juliet’s identity. Even after Romeo learns that Juliet is a Capulet he makes the bad choice of continuing to be with her. If Romeo never continued to see Juliet after the night of the party, their dreadful deaths could have been avoided.
Secondly, Romeo tells the Nurse the details of his plan to marry Juliet later that day. “’ squall her devise some means to come to shrift this afternoon; and thither she shall at Friar Laurence’ cell be shrived and married’” (2.4.184-187). Romeo makes the wicked decision to marry Juliet in secret. By Romeo and Juliet getting married, they only cause themselves more grief when they can’t be together because of Romeo’s banishment. Their grief is what leads to the final tragedy. Finally, after Tybalt kills Mercurtio, Romeo avenges his dear friend’s death and ends up killing Tybalt.
